Pütt like Parchim affectionately is called on Plattdeutsch (Low-German), is only about 40 minutes by car away from Schwerin. Don´t miss to visit the great half-timbered houses, the historical Old Town and the massive brick churches of the county town. Directly located at the Müritz-Elde-Wasserstraße, numerous water sport activities are available for you. Who would not like to explore the surroundings via water, sets off on foot on the way into the attractive rural surroundings and walks through the forest and meadows in the adjoining landscape protection area “Wockertal”. Parchim, one of the oldest cities in Mecklenburg-Vorpommern, can be discovered actively on a city tour with ”Räuber Vieting”. In the autumnal time a visit of the impressive “Martinimarkt” is a must for every Parchim visitor.
