You can get to know the beauty and variety of Schwerin and its landscape best by travelling off-road. Cycling around lake Schweriner See you will pass by green fields and nature reserves with a unique flora and fauna. In the even countryside of the Lewitz region, characteristic Mecklenburg villages can be found. Follow the murmuring flow of the river Stör and the calls of the cranes.  The paths east of the lake take you along the course of the river Warnow, one of the most unspoilt areas of Mecklenburg, near Sternberg.
