E-Werk

These days the former power station situated at the northern shore of lake Pfaffenteich serves as an extension to the State Theatre of Mecklenburg, producing innovative contemporary work. The programme sounds very promising: Besides contemporary drama, musical and ballet performances, the plays of the Fritz-Reuter-stage are very popular with visitors. They are performed in “Plattdeutsch”, a northern German dialect. The E-Werk also regularly stages a puppet theatre.
