The open-air stage Freilichtbühne

Slightly hidden between the trees and bushes of the Palace Gardens is the open-air stage “Freilichtbühne”, not far from the lake “Fauler See”. Despite the stage's green location, the city centre is within ten-minutes' walking distance. Alternatively, you can use the nearby bus and tram service to reach your destination or one of the more than 600 parking spaces next to the “Freilichtbühne”.
The location is not only popular for open-air film screenings but also for various concert events. Whether you prefer classic music or rocking guitar riffs - there is something for every taste. Famous German pop stars such as Farin Urlaub, Rosenstolz, Nena, die Söhne Mannheims, Mathias Reim and Max Rabe have performed there live.
